5. Don’t use credit card for 6 months
I did not use my credit card in the months of June or July. (:
50. Don’t drink soda for a month
I did it! From the day my aunt left North Carolina (September 5) to last Thursday (October 8), I didn't drink soda at all! This is mostly due to the fact that I only ate out during that time twice, and ordered a mango lassi and water. I am very proud of myself (:
74. Have friends over for dinner 10 times
Last Wednesday Jordan came over to dinner, and I made sausage with bell peppers and onions. Thursday, Bonnie came over and we made black bean burgers (:
I will be revising my 101 in 1001 list to reflect my new situation... being a grad student is a lot of work, and I am not sure all of my goals are still reasonable for the time and energy I have. Also, I said I would add a new goal every 100 days, so.

I am now actually down to 11 on Touya/Yukito and 10 on Fujitaka/Nadeshiko. Go me! Just a few more to go~
75. Call someone in my phone book once a week; if they don’t pick up, send them a “thinking of you” gift: 8/143
I'm one behind on this one.
On March 7, Mike called me while I was at Disneyland with my brother and cousins. I took a rain check on the conversation, and called him back Sunday. We talked for almost an hour about stuff - the AARC, Professor Miyake, manga and anime, me going to grad school, his current work (he's looking for a dissertation advisor), his free time (yeah, I was running out of things to talk about). He was going to come down during his spring break, but ended up carpooling up to the Bay area. I really like talking to Michael - it's kind of awkward sometimes, because he's not as random and sarcastic and loud as I am, but I enjoy our conversations, and it's really nice that he actually wants to talk to me most of the time.
The week before spring break kind of sucked, so I don't think I called anyone.
I spent spring break with lots of people I haven't talked to in awhile - J, Yumi, Alex, and Jonathan - so I think I'm good on that week. Nevertheless, I'll count it as a week I missed.
Today I called both Mojdeh and Michele after my tour. Mojdeh didn't pick up, so I'll have to find a little something for her. Michele did, and we talked until her phone battery ran out about spring break, our brothers, biochem, graduating, med school (she's probably going to WashU!), grad school (I'm probably going to Duke!), lab classes sucking, and me maybe coming out to UCLA.

This does not include all the good I did with Jonathan over break. Just saying :P

11. Go to a spa
After my epic drive to and from Stanford last weekend, my back was a horrible wreck that kind of made me want to cry. So I scheduled a massage at a Massage Envy Spa on Monday afternoon, per the suggestion of the woman who took care of me at the Enterprise.
I had to take the bus there because of a lack of car, but that wasn't a big deal. I browsed in the Stein Mart next door before my appointment. I filled out my paperwork, then sat in a dim, quiet room with super comfortable chairs until my therapist came to get me. Since I really have no morals (morals, they are all relative anyway) I stripped down to nothing but my underwear. The bed was heated, and there was both a sheet and a soft fuzzy blanket, so it wasn't weird or anything.
I started on my back and he massaged my shoulders and neck. I've never had a massage before, so this was a new idea to me, but it was fantastic. He also did a brief head massage (headscratches? ARE SO NOT JUST FOR CATS) before working on my arms and hands. Ewww, my poor hands. All of my muscles were cracking when he did that. Then he did my legs and feet. Foot massages, when done right, are amazing. Seriously. I felt bad that he was touching my feet after my long day of walking/running to meetings, but it was so nice I really wasn't going to complain.
He spent the last twenty minutes or so working on my back and the back of my legs. I definitely fell asleep at the end. Mmmmm. It was very pleasant. I think he may have given me a longer massage than I was supposed to get (it was only supposed to be 50 minutes, but I definitely think it ended up being more like an hour and 10). But again, NOT COMPLAINING.
Since it was my first visit, my massage was only $49! :D I also signed up for a membership, because even at $60 a month it is so worth it. Sitting at my desk for as long as I do in a really not ergonomic chair, constantly being stressed out, waking up in the mornings with a sore back is really going to take it's toll on me. I felt a lot better after my massage (everything was right with the world - seriously), I had more energy through my evening class, and I actually woke up early this morning. I'm not going to attribute this all to my massage... but I definitely feel more awesome now than I did yesterday morning :D
If anyone wants a referral... :D Your first massage is like, $40 or $50 for an hour~~~

Lots of updates!
13. Buy a sexy pair of underwear once a month: 3/29
Since I was so busy last month and was just out of town, I went to Victoria's Secret today and bought two pairs, one for last month and one for this month :3 I let Katie pick out one of them! I am very excited. Seriously. Shopping made up for the exceptionally long drives I made in the last couple of days.
79. Watch the sun rise once a month: 2/29
Technically it was in March, but I watched the dawn and sunrise over California as I drove down the 5. I wish I'd had a camera. It was so beautiful.
86. Donate 1 million grains of rice on freerice.com: 6820/1 million
My level on vocabulary hit 47 today, and I actually had the sense to stop. Now I don't want to start again because OMG 47. Normally I bypass 47 without noticing, hahaha.
